Your Big S-T-E-P for Better Golf and a Lower Handicap
Your Peak Performance with Your Individual S-T-E-P
With the right strategy — both in training and on the course — solid technique, perfect timing and well-controlled emotions, you’ll play your peak-performance golf and enter the ultimate flow.
S-T-E-P is a holistic approach that not only optimizes your swing technique and playing strategy, but also helps you control your emotions on the course and on the green.
That way you don’t just improve your golf game and play your best golf — you’ll also enjoy your rounds with fun, joy and a lower score.
Emotions-Control in Golf
Emotions-control refers to the ability, as defined by Wikipedia, to remain calm under pressure. Good golfers can manage their feelings through various behaviors and techniques. Golfers with high impulse control develop a clear strategy to reach their goals, plan ahead, don’t act on every impulse immediately, and tend not to give up when things don’t go well. Such golfers are actively committed to achieving a good result. Realistic optimism describes a golfer’s belief that things can — and will — turn out better as the game progresses. Golfers who aim for peak performance are goal-oriented, enjoy setting new targets, and then pursue and realise them.
An emotion influences behavior, varies in intensity depending on the significance of the situation, manifests especially as muscle activity, and has a direct impact on one’s golf performance. This means that through deliberate emotion control — for example sensations like fear, excitement, control, relaxation or boredom — you can deliberately steer your mental state to reach peak performance and play your best golf in the flow.
Next Level Golf
Your path to a healthy, body-friendly golf swing — with greater distance, accuracy and consistency, plus a lower handicap. Since golf actually consists of two games, we offer our Big S-T-E-P approach to improve your handicap in both areas: Long Game & Putting.
Our programme „Your Big S-T-E-P“ always starts (both for long game and putting) with Module 1: Strategy.
„Ask yourself how many strokes you could have saved, if before every shot you had developed a strategy, always played within your limits, never lost control, and never talked yourself down.“ – Jack Nicklaus
Your Big S-T-E-P for Better Golf and a Lower Handicap consists of 3 Modules
Module 1: Strategy
Module 2: Technique/Timing/Tempo
Module 3: Mental Training
Of course, you can get lucky while putting — but success always depends on the right method. Using the ultimate S-T-E-P for putting (strategy, technique & timing, emotion control, and peak performance), success is roughly 90 % sweat and systematic practice, and just 10 % talent. You know the saying “no pain, no gain,” or as the Golfclub Schaumburg e.V. greets its players: “The more you practice on the driving range, the more luck you’ll have in the game.” This applies equally to putting.
Your Big S-T-E-P for Better Putting and a Lower Handicap also consists of 3 Modules
Module 1: Strategy
Module 2: Technique/Timing/Tempo
Module 3: Mental Training
